NWA Writing Project Teacher Consultants Corps is a project where educators learn how to improve student reading, writing and thinking in opinion and argument. Participants in their sessions analyze the components of argument, examine standards, participate in model lessons, and craft and receive feedback on lesson plans for immediate classroom implementation.
The project takes the form of workshop opportunities, mini-institutes and retreats. It’s been in hiatus with the coronavirus pandemic, so please check back as in-person gatherings return to being the norm, or we instead choose to revise the format and scope.
A series of Saturday sessions has been the mainstay. Participants who attend at least three of the five sessions will be eligible to deliver Professional Development (PD) to participating schools around the region.
